//Season Kickoff at the famous Custom Motor Show "Elmia"
The swedish Season traditionally begins with the Custom Motor Show, or as basically everybody calls it, Elmia.
The show takes place around the Easter Weekend and really is the place to be. Almost 10000 visitors and over 800 cars from all over scandinavia are kickstarting the Eventseason. As the Name already suggests, the show takes place at the Elmia Convention Centre in Jönköping.
In the Exhibition Halls you`ll find whatever fits your Taste. They have superdope Euros and JDMs from private builders and Clubs as well as Hot Rods, Muscle Cars and some Bikes. One Area is reserved for stock restaurations and what most people would sure refer to as "proper classic cars". Of course all the big Names join the Party, OijOij, Dual MTV, SWK...everybody.
Do you like the Smell of rubber and want some real action? The PÅSKSLADDEN, wich takes place on the outside Areas of the Convention is where you wanna be. This part of the Event is hosted by the Scandinavian Drift Series and consists of 22 Drivers willing to absolutely send it. This years Winner was Drift-Veteran Jim Olofsson in his black BMW E30. Tony Averstedt in his Supra came in as second, and just ahead of Mårten Stångberg in his insane Mercedes CLK, wich in my opinion is the best looking Drift car ever.
