This build started out in life as one of the few US-produced Civic EJ2 Coupes that made their way to Europe. In the early 2000s when the Fast and Furious Movies debuted and started a whole new JDM movement this vehicle was given a nice F&F Style makeover. After a few years it suffered fatal engine failure and was put in storage where it remained hidden until 2015. The then grown up owner decidet that he might propably never fix it and will therefore get rid of the wreck that was blocking his garage. Little did the left to die Honda know that this would be the start to its 7 year journey to become what it is now.
First change was the installation of the TA Bags and the LevelIQ Airmanagement. Shortly after that the bumpers were back to stock. Since stock is quite boring the front grilles were cut out and replace by mesh. A Mugen Lip was also added, wich changed the look dramatically. Other body modifications included removal of all emblems, the antenna in the A-pillar and of course the fender flares plus ducktail were installed. The interior got more of a racecar-ish look by installing a DIY Rollcage, painting the now empty rear section white and installing bucket seats with limited Schroth Black Magic seatbelts. The drivers workspace was upgraded with a more racy steering wheel, short shifter and the completely customized Dash-insert with real carbon face, plasma dials and illuminated pointers. Even though audio in this car is completely pointless a Ground Zero sound system found its way into the cabin as well.
The rear axle including brakes are derived from a DelSol VTI and the front axle as well as the slightly bigger brake came out of an Prelude. This whole package is kept under control by the full Energy suspension PU-bushing kit. Power steering was seen as pointless and just deleted. In the engine bay every useless hole was closed, a strut bar was weldet in and all the wires were tucked away. A XTC stage 3 clutch including lightweight flywheel replaced the original parts. The broken engine was replaced by a Minime-Swap with upgraded internals, higher compression, upgraded ignition and the carbon fibre "whale penis". On the hot side of things a 4-2-1 header, 100 cell-cat and the usual Magnaflow Muffler are taking care of business. Last but not least is the affair of keeping the car in contact with the tarmac. Borbet T`s in 9x16" in combnation with super rare Hankook S1 Evos in 215/35R16 are taking care of that....speaking of...if you got someof those on hand...let me know.
