Mazda RX7 FD Turbo
Some of us sure wish they`d known sooner what will be a dreamcar in the future. At least thats what i think...espacially when i got to shoot cars like this RX7. Rotarys always have a special flair to them, it`s just something wild and unusual. The way they deliver their Power, the noise they produce..everything about them appears just a little bit special.
Speaking of Rotary...in this case we are looking at a single-Turbo conversion, controlled by a APEXI Power FC ECU and sprinkled with front mount intercooler and of course upgraded exhaust system. On top of that the Rotary got streetported. All in all we are looking at 400HP with that famous "BRAP" that every JDM guy loves. For proper power-delivery the gearbox was upgraded with a short shifter and is directed by a Mishimoto Shiftknob.
The connection between the car and the tarmac is taken care of by G-Force Racing coilovers and 5-Spokes in 11,5 and 10,5x 18". Perfect looking and most importantly driveable combo for this ride. Plus this adds quite a lot to the looks of this Mazda.
Speaking of looks. What we also see here is the Mazdaspeed Wing, Carbon hood, matching Popups, and lets not forget the AIT Bodykit. Of course there`s red underglow just to make the Package complete. Just to further spice up this FD we see some Bride Seats in the interior and the obligatory snapoff Sterring wheel. All in all this is what seems to be the dream package for most JDM guys. Perfect combination of that beloved JDM Look, sound, power and even more importantly driveability. Only sad thing about all this is the fact that the days of affordable FD`s are long gone. But still we all can admire their looks and enjoy the very special sound of that rotary flying by.
